Our Leadership Team
Alexander McWilliams
Director
Alexander has more than 7 years of experience in financial planning and investment management, supported by formal qualifications including a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, a Bachelor of Business (Real Estate & Property Development), and a Bachelor of Business (Marketing).
Since 2018, he has advised clients across Australia on wealth creation, superannuation, and portfolio construction. Today, he is the Director and Responsible Manager of the True Wealth Group, an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) holder and national financial planning business. True Wealth manages over $150 million in active funds under management, where Alexander oversees governance, compliance, and strategic investment outcomes for a broad base of clients.
With a strong interest in alternative investments, Alexander recognised litigation funding as an asset class capable of generating asymmetric returns while maintaining low correlation with traditional markets. He co-founded Knightsbridge to connect investors with carefully selected litigation opportunities, working alongside a trusted network of lawyers, insolvency practitioners, barristers, and investigators. His role as Director focuses on aligning investor capital with high-quality cases, ensuring disciplined oversight and maximising the potential for successful outcomes
Cory Hinds
Director
Cory has over 17 years of experience spanning construction, property development, finance, and investment management. Beginning his career with Tier 1 builder Multiplex, he delivered large-scale commercial projects while navigating the complex legal and contractual frameworks of the sector. He later transitioned into private development, successfully completing more than $25 million in residential projects, where he gained extensive exposure to financing structures, investor arrangements, and dispute resolution processes.
In addition to his development background, Cory is a director of an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) unrelated entity, reinforcing his expertise in regulated financial environments and his commitment to governance, compliance, and investor protection.
As co-founder of Australian Development Solutions, Cory now manages over $50 million in active projects on behalf of more than 40 investors. His ability to combine regulated financial oversight with hands-on experience in legally
intensive sectors positions him to provide the disciplined governance and investor alignment that underpin Knightsbridge’s litigation funding strategies.
Our Partners
We collaborate with Litigation Funding Solutions, a specialist litigation investment manager with over a decade of experience in funding high-value commercial claims, class actions, and insolvency recoveries. Since 2013, LFS has funded 11 resolved cases, achieving a 91% success rate, and delivering over $20 million to investors. LFS conducts rigorous due diligence, structures funding agreements, and oversees case progress, ensuring robust management and strategic decision-making.
Key Track Record Metrics:
Total Cases Resolved: 11
Successful Outcomes: 10 wins (all settled before or during trial)
Unsuccessful Outcomes: 1 loss (case went to judgment in 2017)
Success Rate: 91% win rate
Average Duration (Successful Cases): 11.9 months from funding to resolution
Average Funder Profit (Successful Cases): 2.01× (201% return on capital), equivalent to approximately 200% IRR
LFS’s expertise is evident in the high win rate and consistent ability to generate significant returns, with all successful cases yielding returns above 1.0×. A standout example is a $2.8M breach of fiduciary duty case in 2020, which delivered a 2.1× return, demonstrating the capability to handle complex, high-stakes litigation. Additionally, a building dispute case resolved in just 2 months with a 3× return showcases LFS’s ability to achieve efficient, high-return outcomes.
The current Shane Anderson case, involving allegations of fiduciary breach and shareholder oppression with multi-million dollar funding needs, aligns with LFS’s experience in managing large-scale, complex cases. Drawing on our track record, we aim to resolve this case efficiently, potentially through strategic mediation in 2025, to maximise returns for all stakeholders.
We work with Levitt Robinson Solicitors, a renowned Sydney-based litigation firm known for handling complex commercial disputes and class actions. With decades of experience, the firm, led by principal Stewart Levitt, excels in high-stakes cases, bringing tenacity and expertise to secure favorable outcomes.
